The Waunakee Fire Department has issued a ban on all open burning and consumer fireworks use within the Waunakee Fire District effective immediately. This ban includes fires in all outdoor fireplaces or pits and the private use of consumer fireworks. This ban includes sparklers and novelty fireworks. Cooking of food in grills is allowed.
