Waunakee Residential Clean-Up 2023

Pellitteri Waste Systems (https://www.pellitteri.com/) and the Village of Waunakee Public Works Department are pleased to sponsor the 25th Annual Waunakee Residential Clean-Up! 

Please adhere to the following guidelines regarding item disposal. If you have items to discard during the remainder of the year, please contact Pellitteri at 608-257-4285.

Who: VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY ONLY. PLEASE DISREGARD THIS INFORMATION IF YOU ARE NOT A VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE RESIDENT.

Where:    All Waunakee residents will be required to have their acceptable items at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023. Pellitteri will begin their pick-up throughout the Village and will only run through the Village once. It may take Pellitteri a few days to complete.

Why:    Your opportunity to clean out those closets, garages, basements, etc. to dispose of items that you no want or need.

Note:    Items placed at the curb will be disposed of as trash. They will not be recycled or donated.

Acceptable Items

  • Furniture
  • Household trash
  • DRY carpet—rolled and tied for one person to handle
  • Swing sets—must be dismantled
  • Box springs (Placed in a waterproof plastic or vinyl storage disposal bag)
  • Mattresses (Placed in a waterproof plastic or vinyl storage disposal bag)
  • Bed frames
  • Gas grills—no tanks
  • Charcoal grills
  • Small lawn mowers or snow blowers—gas and oil must be removed

Small items should be bagged (no more than 50 lbs. per bag).

Not Acceptable Items

  • Electronic waste
  • Yard waste
  • Building materials
  • Tires
  • Pianos
  • Lead acid batteries
  • 55-gallon drums
  • Household pesticides
  • Concrete or dirt
  • Oil tanks and filters
  • Vehicle engine blocks
  • Paints and thinners
  • Televisions, computers and computer monitors
  • Household appliances—stoves, ovens, dishwashers, freezers, microwaves, refrigerators, dryers, washers, water   softeners, dehumidifiers, water heaters, or air conditioners
