Responsibilities

The Board of Appeals hears requests for special exceptions or variances to the village Zoning Ordinance. The board is a quasi-judicial body that decides appeals on decisions of administrative officials of the village.


The Board of Appeals consists of five voting members that are citizen representatives. Each citizen representative serves a three-year term. Two citizen representatives are appointed as alternates.


The Board of Appeals meets as necessary.
