The Village Center has Cross-country ski equipment available to rent. Rental equipment includes cross-country skis, boots, and poles in varying sizes and lengths. The rental fees are $15/day/pair for a resident of Waunakee and $20/day/pair for a non-resident. That fee includes one set of skis, one set of boots and one set of poles.
Skis must be reserved in advance, Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm by contacting the Village Center at (608)850-5992. If ski equipment is returned late, you will be charged an additional day for each late day when returned. These skis were provided by a grant from the Endres Manufacturing Foundation.
In addition to the skis, we also purchased a used ski trail groomer from the Nordic Ski Club in Lodi so that our parks staff can groom trails in Village parks.
