TIPS

Provide a Tip Online

The Waunakee Police Department maintains an answering machine to receive anonymous tips 24 hours per day at 849-2TIP (2847). The Waunakee Police Department understands that persons may have information about crimes or criminal activity. Through the Tip Line, a caller may remain completely anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $500 if the information results in an arrest.

If you are calling about a crime in progress you must call 9-1-1 in the case of an emergency. If it is NOT an emergency but you would like an officer to respond to your residence please call the non-emergency number at 849-4523.

Callers should provide the date and time of their call as this will become your identifying number. For example if the date is May 10, 2008 and you are calling at 10:30 at night your ID number would be 51020081030. It will be necessary for you to contact the Waunakee Police Department to determine if the information has resulted in an arrest or if more information is needed. Calls should be directed to the TIP-LINE coordinator, Lt. Joe Peterson at 850-4510. You will only be asked to provide your identifying number.
