Citizens Academy

The Waunakee Emergency Services Academy will provide community members with an inside look at the Emergency Services Waunakee provides. During the 9 week academy, students will be introduced to emergency service operations and participate in many of the same training sessions officers go through every year. Classes are every Wednesday night from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The class will start September 13th, 2023 and finish November 8th, 2023.

Purpose:

The Academy is designed to increase understanding between citizens and emergency responders through education. Our goal is to provide an increased understanding of the tasks emergency service officers face every day. With better understanding it becomes easier for police and citizens to find realistic solutions to neighborhood problems.
