Senior Center

COVID Update

January 7, 2022 - Effective Monday, January 10 through Friday, January 21 the Waunakee Senior Center will suspend all social activities and programs.  The Senior Center will remain open for case management services, congregate meals, home delivered meals, foot care and massage therapy.  The Driver Escort program and Transit Solutions transportation services remain operating.

Senior Center staff will continue to work at the center Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

This decision was made with input from the Area Agency on Aging and the actions of other Senior Centers in Dane County in response to the increase of those infected by the COVID virus and the new variant.

It is our hope that by limiting the number of contacts individuals have we may be able to better keep our clients, customers, volunteers and staff from becoming ill.

At the end of this two week period we will determine how to proceed based on Dane County COVID statistics and the guidance of the Area Agency on Aging.

For further information contact the Waunakee Senior Center at 608-849-8385.

Purpose

The Senior Center's purpose is to help older adults remain independent in their own homes and in their communities by supporting them intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally.
