Municipal Court

Responsibilities

The Waunakee Municipal Court strives to provide professional court proceedings which follow all applicable laws and ensures the rights of all persons are observed.

The Waunakee Municipal Court handles local traffic and ordinance violations.

Court Sessions

  • Juvenile Court - scheduled for the 1st or 2nd Tuesday of the month
  • Regular Court - scheduled for the 2nd and/or 3rd Tuesday of the month
  • Pre-Trial Conference - scheduled for the 4th or 5th Tuesday of the month
  • Trial - scheduled for the 4th or 5th Tuesday of the month

Court proceedings are held in the Board Chambers at the Village Hall. Pre-Trials are scheduled and held via telephone beginning at 1:00 p.m. 

Court Judge

The current Municipal Court Judge is Nicholas J. Rifelj.

Note Regarding January 9, 2024 Municipal Court:

Due to expected inclement weather, all court activities will be held virtually. 

January 9, 2024 - Juvenile @ 5:00 PM - Virtual attendance instructions are being emailed to defendants.
