Village Hall available by appointment only
Due to COVID-19, Village Hall will likely remain closed throughout the tax collection season. Appointments can be made during normal business hours by calling the Treasurer at 608-850-6622. These will generally be limited to taxpayers wishing to pay their taxes in cash or other unique circumstances that cannot be handled over the phone or via email.
Remember, the Village processes all checks electronically. This means when residents submit their payments to the Village, the funds will come out of their accounts more timely. Please make sure when you submit your payment that you have your checks covered so there is not a non-sufficient funds issue. The Village's policy is that any returned item, regardless of the reason, will be charged a fee of $27.50, and the Village will then only accept cash or money order after a returned item is received.
Paying at the State Bank of Cross Plains in Waunakee
The Village has teamed up with the State Bank of Cross Plains - Waunakee Branch, to give residents an additional tax collection site. Only the Waunakee Branch will accept Waunakee property tax payments. No other State Bank of Cross Plains branch is collecting tax payments for Waunakee. Due to Covid-19, the lobby is currently closed so tax payments will be accepted in the first drive-up lane only.
